Hours & Rates
Become an annual zoo member!
Zoo memberships help to sustain the zoo’s operations for the animals, staff and visiting public. Annual members enjoy many perks including entry year round during open zoo hours plus options for guests, grandparents, behind-the-scenes and updates on things happening at the zoo.
Active military and veterans get 10% off annual memberships at the gate to show proof of service. This offer cannot be redeemed online.
Admission Rates:
General Daytime Admission Rates:
$20 for non-resident adult (age 18+)
$17 for Alaska resident adult (age 18+)
Must show Alaska ID, no student IDs
$15 for senior (age 65+) or military adult (age 18+)
Must show proof of service for active duty or veteran
$10 for youth (age 3-17)
FREE for age 2 and under
Note: A fee is added in checkout for tickets purchased online. To avoid service fees and receive the basic rates listed, buy entry at the zoo gate at the time of your visit.
Zoo Hours
Current Daytime Hours: 10am-5pm. See list below for seasonal hours throughout the year. Last entry through the gate is always 30 minutes before closing time for all hours listed. Note: Our Gift Shop and Coffee Shop are open during zoo hours unless noted.
10a-4p: November, December, January, February (extended hours on Zoo Lights evenings)
10a-5p: March, April, October
9a-6p: May, September
9a-8p: June, July, August
Holiday Openings and Closures:
CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day
OPEN on December 24th - 10am-4pm daytime, 5-8pm Zoo Lights
CLOSED on Christmas Day, December 25th
OPEN on December 31st and January 1st - 10am-4pm daytime, 5-8pm Zoo Lights
OPEN on all other holidays throughout the year
Admissions Policies:
Youth ages 16 and older may visit the zoo without an adult. All youth ages 15 and under must have an adult present on zoo grounds during their visit.
Service fees applied to ticket purchases online.
Businesses, tour providers and community organizations with 30 or more guests can submit a group rate request form. If approved, your group will receive 20% off entry fees.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be applied to memberships. If you have a TourSaver coupon, show at the gate to redeem.
