Become an annual zoo member!
Zoo memberships sustain the zoo’s operations for animals, staff and visiting public. Annual members enjoy many perks including entry year round during open zoo hours plus options for guests, grandparents, behind-the-scenes and updates on things happening at the zoo. We will also be having monthly member appreciation events in 2025!
Admission Rates
Enjoy one last $5/person zoo entry on Tuesday ,February 25th. These High Five February Tuesdays are our way of giving you a “high five” for supporting the Alaska Zoo during the winter season. If you are a current zoo member, you don’t pay entry do your gift will be one free popcorn per person. We are extending our hours on these Tuesday to 6pm, too. The $5 entry cannot be purchased online, only at the gate on the scheduled Tuesdays. Thank you for always supporting our mission!
General Daytime Admission Rates:
$25 for non-resident adult (age 16+)
$18 for Alaska resident adult (age 16+)
Show Alaska ID, no student IDs
$16 for senior (age 65+) or military adult
Must show proof of service for active duty or veteran
$12 for youth (age 3-15)
FREE for age 2 and under
Zoo Lights Rates:
$15 per zoo member age 3 and up
$20 per non-member age 3 and up
Please note that zoo entry can be purchased at the gate for all regular zoo hours, public events and even for Dino Lights. We have lights entry for sale online as well with a small service fee for online checkout. Events that require advance reservation of tickets will be noted within their descriptions. We will offer online zoo entry purchasing again in late spring with the launch of a new system.
Zoo Hours
See list below for seasonal hours throughout the year. Last entry through the gate is always 30 minutes before closing time for all hours listed. Our Gift Shop and Coffee Shop are open during zoo hours unless noted. The Kape Espresso Tayo Zoo Coffee Shop will be closed on Thursdays from November through April.
Zoo Hours
10a-4p: November - February (open until 6pm on Tuesdays in February)
10a-5p: March, April, October - Dino Lights over Spring Break, March 7-16th, 6-9pm.
9a-6p: May, September
9a-8p: June, July, August

Policies:
Youth ages 16 and older may visit the zoo without an adult. All youth ages 15 and under must have an adult present on zoo grounds during their visit.
Service fees applied to ticket purchases online.
Businesses, tour providers and community organizations with 30 or more guests can submit a group rate request form. If approved, your group will receive 20% off entry fees.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be applied to memberships. If you have a TourSaver coupon, show at the gate to redeem.
