I am from
Quincy, Washington and moved to Alaska in August 2004. I have an A.
A. degree from Wenatchee Valley College, and a B.S. in biology education and art education from Northwest
Nazarene University in Nampa, ID. I am also
a science/art teacher at Highland Tech high school. I was hired as
Volunteer Coordinator in September 2005. I enjoy
giving Discovery tours and helping with babies in the summer. I hang out with my 3 cats and turtle, paint,
read, go camping, ride my motorcycle, and play sports. |

Born in
Minnesota, raised in Nebraska, I came to Alaska in 1978
packing cross country skis. I met my carpenter
husband, Henri, soon after and have enjoyed
many hunting and fishing trips across Alaska. I
started in the Zoo office in 2004 and accepted the
challenge of managing the Gift Shop in September of that
year. Advice and ideas from fellow employees
have helped to make the Shop a fun place to find just the
right gift or souvenir! |
