International Migratory Bird Day at the Zoo

Event Theme: Why Birds Matter

Migrate to the Zoo for this bird celebration on Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 11am to 5pm.

Gather your flock to discover the benefits of birds to humans and nature. Explore hands-on activity stations, games, kid’s craft station, winning Jr. Duck Stamp artwork and much more! Celebrate migratory birds and learn about bird conservation with event partners Alaska Department of Fish and Game, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Audubon Alaska, Ducks Unlimited, Bird TLC and the Alaska Zoo. Live education birds will also be on display for up-close viewing by Bird Treatment and Learning Center. This event is fun and educational for visitors of all ages!
