Critter Classes
Description:  Hands-on, tactile programs that allow kids to touch and feel feathers, fur, antlers, and more from our Critter Collection.  Good for grades 2 and under.

  • Critter Classes may be held either on or off zoo grounds.
  • On-grounds presentations are approximately 30 minutes in length, followed by time for the group to self-tour the remainder of the zoo.
  • Outreach presentations vary in length, lasting up to 45 minutes.
  • Group size is limited to 30 participants per instructor.  Larger groups may be required to schedule separately.
 
Session Type: Fees:
On Zoo Grounds (30 minutes) $6.00/child & $7/adult (includes zoo admission). 
  Fees are paid at Admissions on the day of your program.
   
Outreach (45 minutes) $30.00/presentation in Anchorage area.
  $70.00/presentation outside of the Anchorage area.
  Anchorage area:  Anch., Eagle River, Girdwood, Chugiak.
  Outside:  All other areas.
  Travel to rural areas will require different pricing.
  Fees are paid to the presenter at the time of the program.
